Garlic is amazing. You plant it in fall, and it grows up though the snow. Come spring, it's looking like this, all full of life and stuff.Most of this came from the grocery store: either regular garlic, or "elephant garlic."
Found last year that "regular" garlic tastes better home-grown (fancy that!). Haven't grown elephant garlic before. I suspect it might succeed.
